Wayne Gibson - Principal Safety Consultant
Wayne Gibson leads our Machine Safety division. Wayne is a highly credentialed safety leader with over 35 years of global experience in machine safety, functional safety, automation, and electrical engineering. A fully qualified electrical, mechanical, and electronics engineer, Wayne also holds a NSW Electrical License (Supervisor & Contractor) and multiple internationally recognised TÜV certifications, including:
- Functional Safety Engineer (FS-Eng – TUV Rheinland)
- Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE® – TÜV Nord)
- Certified Expert in Functional Safety (CEFS – TÜV Nord)
- Certified Expert in CE Marking (CECE – TÜV Nord)
Wayne’s career spans some of the most demanding industries avionics, oil & gas, mining, manufacturing, and FMCG where safety and reliability are critical. He has extensive experience in remote and offshore environments, managing complex projects under challenging conditions.
His expertise covers the entire safety lifecycle, from risk assessment and safe design through to safety-related control systems, verification, and validation. Wayne has successfully delivered projects across design, integration, commissioning, maintenance, and modernisation of industrial electrical and automated systems. Wayne also delivers our portfolio of Machine Safety Training courses which provide both theoretical and practical experience to participants at our Somersby facility.

Dean Crofskey - Senior Safety Consultant
Dean is an experienced Senior Safety Consultant with over 10 years of expertise in industrial automation across many sectors including Food & Beverage, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Intralogistics and Mining. Dean possesses strong technical knowledge in machinery safety systems, robotics, and industrial control systems, enabling him to deliver practical and compliant safety solutions.
Dean holds multiple internationally recognised certifications, including:
- Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE® – TÜV Nord)
- Certified Expert in Functional Safety (CEFS – TÜV Nord)
- Certified Expert in CE Marking (CECE – TÜV Nord)
He has a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering through credentials and real world experienced. He also holds a NSW Electrical Contractor Licence. In addition to this Dean also delivers our portfolio of Machine Safety Training courses which provide both theoretical and practical experience to participants at our Somersby facility.
